Our testing is done at very low levels, and is quantitative for 15 different drugs. This is very effective when testing adolescents.

Our staff personally supervise each test. Results are determined by an independent laboratory and are available in 24 hours.

Home testing kits are available for drub and alcohol. Results appear in 5 minutes.

Behavioral Signs of an Adolescent Who Is Using Drugs/Alcohol or Is High Risk To Do So

 

 

Check if applicable

  • A Drop in Grades: This could be a slow decline in the past year or a sudden decrease.
  • Switching Friends: Are you seeing a different set of friends around the house? More objections to his/her choice of friends?
  • Social Skills: Not meeting any friends.
  • Emotional Highs and Lows: Easily upset, emotional state changes rapidly, doesn't seem as happy as he/she used to be.
  • Defiance to Rules and Regulations: Pushing limits, not doing chores, defiance at home and/or school.
  • Becoming More Secretive: Not sharing any or very little of their personal problems.
  • Loss of Initiative: Less energy, sleeping more than usual.
  • Withdrawing from Family Functions: Meals, outings, church.
  • Change in Physical Hygiene: Becoming more sloppy, wearing the same clothes frequently, not bathing daily.
  • Not Informing You of School Activities: Open houses, times to meet teachers, progress reports, suspensions, and warnings.
  • Many Excuses for Staying Out Late: Not coming home on time, not coming home at all, constant excuses.
  • Isolating: Spending a lot of time in his/her room.
  • Suspicion of Money Missing: Missing from parents, brothers, sisters.
  • Alcohol or Prescription Drugs Missing: Suspicion of alcohol or drug use.
  • Change in Sleep Patterns: Up late at night and sleeping half the day.
  • Excessive Weight Loss: In a short period of time. Change in appetite.
