Inaugural Hope Institute Network Summit

It was a Fiesta of Character at our inaugural Hope Network Summit this spring for our Hope Network schools.  Hope Institute created the Hope Network for alumni schools of the Hope Leadership Academy.  After an inaugural year of virtual sessions based on lessons from Dr. Thomas Lickona’s book Educating for Character, an in-person one-day summit was held as the culminating event for the year.  The Hope Fellows planned the summit and led the breakout sessions which took a deep dive into the conference theme of sustaining the work.  Dr. Thomas Lickona joined in person as the keynote speaker for the event.  We are also grateful that Alabama State Superintendent Dr. Eric Mackey was able to join us and share inspiration during lunch.  We are looking forward to the 2026-2027 Hope Institute Network sessions with Dr. Michele Borba and her book, Thrivers.
